Mallorca Spain is quite the escape for all the city folk that come from all over the world. Most of the time they find a room at one of the best luxury hotels Mallorca has to offer and then hit the beach. This is the largest island of Spain and any where you decide to plant that beach towel and canape you will be very happy. If you do decide to get out and do some sight seeing there are a number of great places to visit. Since you more than likely will fly into the capital city, Palma de Mallorca, how about checking out what the area has to offer. How about a bicycle trip from the port to El Arenal? It’s a great way to get in a little excersize along the beautiful beaches.

Another day trip to take is up the hill. The mountain range Sierra de Tramuntana is north east of town. You could have some lunch in the little village Calvia which has an old Roman Gothic church, the Iglesia Parroquial and the Castillo de Bemdiant. Both wonderful places to explore the local history. Definitely a place to take in a high level view. From Palma de Mallorca there are many day trips to take.

How about a trip to Andraitx. Just getting there will take you through some wonderful old fishing villages and breathtaking landscapes. Camp de Mar has a beautiful bay you can look out and see a little island in the middle. Puerto de Andraitx is a natural port with the unique combination of sea and pine trees. Andraitx has fantastic views of the coast. San Telmo is the most visited port on the island many come to see the fortress and the Sa Trapa Monastery ruins. This is only the beginning of so many sites to see on the island of Mallorca Spain.
