This isn’t a sneaky trick to make the locals angry, but will surely get you a lot of stories about the history of contemporary music in Mumbai.  Rang Bhavan was one of the premiere venues in the city, famous for its illustrious line of celebrities who played here, like Sting and Jethro Tull, but also for the local focus for the greater part of the programming that went on.  You could see live theatre, jazz festivals, and heavy metal concerts, and it’s been a part of the local culture for a couple decades, but was closed down because of noise ordinances.  Scratch the surface a bit, and you’ll find some fascinating things about Mumbai and Rang Bhavan.
